API Terms

API and Self-Serve
Terms.

Terms for sandbox and production API keys and pay-per-settle use. They add to the Terms of Service.

Version 1.0 · Effective date: October 13, 2026.

1. Agreement

These terms are between you and PLLAY Labs, Inc., a Delaware corporation ("PLLAY", "we", "us"). They add to the Terms of Service, the Acceptable Use Policy, the Privacy Policy and the Data Processing Agreement.

You accept by ticking the box and clicking "I agree" when you sign up or request keys, and again before your first paid production request, or by signing an agreement that refers to these terms. We keep a record of each acceptance (terms version, time, account ID, email address, browser user agent and a hash of your IP address) for the life of your account plus 6 years.

2. Who can sign up

You must be at least 18, able to bind any organisation you sign up for, and not subject to sanctions or export restrictions. Each person may open one self-serve organisation. Disposable email addresses are refused.

3. Sandbox

Sandbox keys work only on PLLAY’s staging environment and are refused in production. Sandbox results are test data, clearly marked as such. Nothing is paid out, billed or binding. A sandbox key is shown to you once; we keep only a hash of it.

4. Production and live mode

No production key is issued automatically. You request production access, and before it is granted PLLAY carries out a short manual business review (signed pilot agreement, business email domain, company registration check). No ID images are collected. A person at PLLAY decides, and also approves live mode and the certification of each title. Approval can be refused or withdrawn.

5. Fees

  • Per settled result: $1.
  • Free each month: the first 100 settled results.
  • Default spend cap: $1,000 per month. You can ask to change it. Requests are refused once the cap is reached, and any amount over the cap is waived.
  • Held and voided results: free.
  • Sandbox: never billed.
  • Pool clearance: where agreed, by default 15% of the value of a brand-funded pool that settles, invoiced to the brand or partner and never deducted from pool funds.

Usage is billed monthly in arrears to your card through Stripe. Fees exclude taxes. We may change fees on 30 days’ notice, going forward only. A settled result corrected or voided in your favour after a timely dispute is credited. Otherwise fees are non-refundable except as the law requires. We may suspend access for non-payment 10 days after notice.

6. PLLAY never holds funds

You run your own pools, eligibility and identity checks, and payouts. PLLAY does not hold, transmit or escrow funds and is not a party to any wager.

7. Results and liability

Results are automated and can be wrong. Hold and void are the safe defaults, and held results go to human review. You may dispute a result within 7 days after it is issued, as the Terms of Service describe; correction or voiding plus a fee credit is your sole remedy. The disclaimers, the exclusion for prizes and payouts made in reliance on a result, and the liability cap of the greater of 12 months’ fees and US$100 in the Terms of Service apply.

8. Your content

You keep ownership of what you submit and license PLLAY to process and store it to run the Service and keep evidence records. Model improvement is opt-out for sandbox and self-serve content, as the Terms of Service describe. Copyright complaints go to legal@pllay.io.

9. API keys and limits

You are responsible for your keys and all use of them. Rate limits and spend caps apply; do not try to get around them. We may suspend access for abuse, non-payment, security risk or breach.

10. Badge

The "Settled by PLLAY" badge licence in the Terms of Service applies. We will use your logo in our marketing only if you opt in.

11. Signed agreements come first

If you have a signed agreement with PLLAY, it overrides these terms. Platform and licence customers stay on negotiated contracts.

12. Ending, changes and law

Either side may end these terms as the Terms of Service describe. We may update them with at least 30 days’ notice of material changes. Delaware law, AAA arbitration seated in Houston, Harris County, Texas, the class-action and jury waivers and the 30-day opt-out are as set out in the Terms of Service.
